What about allergies, parasites and other challenges for cat owners and their cats?
This page will give you information about possible risks and what to do to take care for YOURSELF and for your cat. This information comes from my 25 years of experience of living with multiple cats. You will also find tips and advice from my professional veterinarian who loves cats, especially and has cared for dozens of my cats.
You will also find all the posts from other sections which imply some challenge and learning for you as the cat owner.
Dear Heidi, love your site, you show so much compassion to your cats. As a cat owner, I appreciate how cats are supporting their owners. My cat is right now meowing… to get my attention to open the door (for the 9th time today). The next reason I think my cat do is that he do not demand any serious things that a partner demand you to do. Thanks for your care of cats.
Blessings,
Margherita
Dear Margherita,
Cat love is a special love. You do a lot of things which probably you wouldn’t do all the time for a demanding partner. lol.
Thanks for commenting!
Heidi I love your site. My cat, Sam, is currently taking up my lap while I hold the IPad to the side so as not to disturb him. My other cat is curled up in her house getting the nap she loves. I too was not raised with cats. My mom was allergic. When I moved out on my own I got a puppy. She brought a kitten home who lived with us for ten years. My cats move back and forth with me from Alaska to Mexico, then back, every year. They are both well adjusted even if the trip is very stressful for them.
I have fostered many kittens, one that was deaf. A friend and I have taken care of many ferals, some who no reside at her home.
Thank you for creating this site to educate people about such noble creatures.
I have bookmarked to visit again
Linda, thanks for telling us your experience with your cats! If you feel like it I would love to publish some of your stories about your cats, how you became a cat lover and how you lived with the deaf cat. I am sure you could provide a lot of very interesting information for present or future cat lovers!
